It's that time of the evening. The time when, as I write, I find my use of the backspace key to correct mistakes, increases tenfold. When that time of the evening arrives differs from night to night, sometimes during the day. It's a sure indicator that I've been writing too long or too intensely on a given day, as has been the case of late.

I suppose that's a new term of sorts, used to describe a person whose mind isn't entirely into their work or whose mind might be in the work but the fingers can no longer muster the energy to fire the correct keypresses in the proper order.

Backspacing on into the night.
