The official announcement went up on the LinuxWorld.com web site detailing the editors’ position on Maureen O’Gara’s content. That created yet another round of flaming from web site visitors. Some people apparently are unhappy no matter what. It’s amazing how easy it is to kick someone when they’re down, a task made even easier by anonymity.
Some serious discussion going on behind the scenes amongst the LWM editors today. We’re trying to come to a reasonable consensus as to the next steps. The hope is to have the editors of the print magazine be able to exert some control over the web site, since the two are obviously directly connected in our readers’ eyes. Well, that and removing O’Gara’s content from the site but I think that goes without saying (hopefully).
