Software

Just your basic every day page to provide links to programs that I've worked on or am working on.

Please note that some of these scripts are quite old and all of them that I wrote are quite ugly. Please don't use them or, if you do choose to use them, please be forewarned that I don't actively maintain many of them nor do I give any warranty or fitness for any particular purpose. They worked for me at one time but they might really cause problems for you!

Some of them are programs written by others that I've either hacked or added onto or just packaged up differently. The beauty of open source is that it enables idiots like me to leverage the work of smart people and then still make mistakes.

Sysfs.pl I've created an ugly script to get information from the /sys filesystem on SCSI disks. This script is particularly helpful for obtaining information on raw size of SCSI disks, LUNs (in hexadecimal), and other such bits as produced by the /sys filesystem. It's like the `udevinfo -a -p` command except not as good. What it does though, is print LUNs in hex which can be quite helpful.

Syncdirs.pl A script I modified, based on synchro. This script is a little lighter and copies into a directory instead of directly onto another partition. Download here.

Asterisk No. I didn't write Asterisk, the open source PBX. I did, however, contribute a very trivially minor bit of code surrounding distinctive ring detection and adding options for the configuration thereof. The code is slated for the 1.6 release of Asterisk.
